Creekmouth to Castle Green, Barking, East London | Area Development Framework Plan | 2004 | with Juurlink + Geluk

The Creekmouth to Castle Green study area is 160 hectares of mainly industrial land, which evolved in a mostly ad hoc manner. The development of Barking Reach will provide 12,000 homes, requiring and making possible a qualitative transformation of the area. The framework seeks to highlight opportunities for establishing better social and spatial relationships between the 1950s Thames View Estate, local businesses and the huge new community, proposing and directing housing and industrial development, public realm, landscape and highway projects.
